Slow going

Well its been almost three weeks and so far no one has purchased any of my necklaces :-( I suppose I'll have to find a way to promote them better. I still plan on adding more to the shop, I think I've just been a little disheartened from the lack of transactions, kind of kills the creative spirit a bit. I've been toying with the idea of trying to get a booth at a local craft fair or farmers market to see if I can start selling things there. However I think I'll need a bit more than just a few necklaces to sell in that setting. I really want to make some retro aprons, just need to acquire some fabric.  On another note I recently started making a renaissance costume for myself, I haven't made something for me in a very looong time. I haven't finished it yet but I think it will be very pretty its being made from a dark teal wide corduroy and a chocolate brown lining fabric. I'll post pictures when I'm done. Today I went shopping for fabric with a friend ...

Here it goes...

Alright I finally did it. I posted some necklaces on Etsy, please go have a look at my shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/DreamingDragons?ref=pr_shop_more . I have a few more jewelry ideas to make and on top of that I'm hoping to make some retro style aprons soon. This is just a short little blurb of an entry, I'm looking forward to adding more to my shop.

Almost there...

Well it occurs to me its been a month and four days since last I wrote. I apologize for my lack in more frequent updating. Also I am writing this post via my phone so I'd like to apologize for any grammar or spelling mistakes I might possibly make.     Anyway things are going slowly in the lines of progress. I have however managed to make some necklaces to sell. I had a bout of scrapbook fever take over me that distracted me from setting up shop. Luckily this passed and I finally set myself down and filled out all the necessary information to open my Etsy shop. I have made my shop policies a banner logo and all that's left now is to list items to sell. I plan on having those necklaces listed within the week.     Aside from all that I have been asked to make a Link costume, a vest and a halloween costume for coworkers and a friend. Hopefully we'll go out soon and pick up the fabric so that I might get started on these fun projects. Hopefully ...

The Beginning

As of late my boyfriend has been asking me "What kind of job/career would you like to have?" Currently I work at a movie theater as a projectionist. Honestly it's a pretty fun job, in fact I really like this job but it doesn't provide me with enough money to pay my bills and the fact that I pretty much have to sign over my weekends isn't so fun. Also I don't see myself working this job for the rest of my life. Ideally I'd like a job doing something creative and fun with weekends off. Some sort of job where I could do design, or teach kids about art and art techniques.   I'm a naturally creative person, I love working with fabrics, mostly using them to make costumes. I also have recently rediscovered my bead box from my teens and have fleshed it out with some more supplies. Thus leading me into the reason for this blog. I've decided to embark on a little adventure. Since I haven't really been able to answer my boyfriend's question, I ha...
