Days 11-13 and the first day of MAGFest!!

Alright so this post is a little late, but to be fair I've been crafting like a crazy woman for the last three days. Its been three days of late nights, early mornings and non-stop crafting. On Monday I got all the ears finished, as in fur glued to craft foam so that they could then be stitched to headbands. Also the rest of the tails were braided in preparation for the ribbon and pin accoutrements. Tuesday it was off to my parents' house to pick up the Loot bags and Link hats my mom and grandma helped finish. The paint on the rupees and trunks was touched up and when I got home the outside of the bags were finally constructed since the paint was dry and the linings were pinned in place. Wednesday the linings in the Loot bags were sewn in and the laces for the Link hats were done. My mom came over to help finish up the Loot bags while I did the lacings in the Link hats, she stitched up the openings for where the lining was turned, did the detail work on the rupees and added some extra details to the trunks. At around 10:30 or 11:00pm my mom went home and I began packing everything up to take to MAGFest. Aside from the ears and tails, everything else was finished and ready to sell. Sadly I never had the time to make any of the earrings I planned on making, perhaps next year they'll be on my vendor table.
Today was the first day of MAGFest, we were up at 7:30am to pack the car and pick up Donna (my booth buddy) and her MAGFest product. She made spectacular pixel art paintings, as well as some pixel art keychains. We got to the Gaylord Hotel and Convention Center around 10:30am, signed in, found our table, got our vendor badges and set up our table. I'll have to post a picture of our table layout tomorrow as I forgot to do it today because I was working on ears and tails while sitting at the table. The Marketplace opened at 1:00pm and there was a crowd of people waiting at the door to get in. Its been really interesting to be on the other side of the table in the Marketplace, it also allows for some interesting people watching. There's been lots of people dressed up, we even saw the creepy Bug Catcher guy from last year (for those of you not versed in Pokemon the Bug Catcher is one of the characters one battles in the game). Lots of people have checked out the table, I think Donna's artworks really draw people in. The best thing is that I sold six of my Link hats today :-) So far a good start to my first try at being a vendor in a convention/craft fair setting. Right now Justin and I are relaxing in the room we're sharing with Alex and Donna here at the Gaylord. We have a beautiful view of the atrium, its quite spectacular as their Christmas lights are still up. I'll post some pictures tomorrow as I'm thoroughly exhausted, I only got five hours of sleep last night and its 11:20pm now. I'm very much ready for sleep, looking forward to tomorrow and seeing what else people might be interested in picking up from our booth :-)
