TooManyGames!!!
So, hi everybody... I know I haven't written in awhile. The build up to the TooManyGames convention wasn't as exciting as MAGFest since I was making mostly the same stuff. Which is likely why I didn't write any blog entries, although I could have written about the new stuff. I made some new things which were hairsticks and giant rupee pillows. Sadly I don't have any good pictures ready at the moment of the hairsticks or the pillows because, despite being a photography major, I got lazy about pictures.
Anywho this convention has been interesting. It is definitely smaller than MAGFest and there seems to be a lot more children here. Donna is doing fabulously well here, she made a bunch of 8-bit keychains, hair clips and headbands (I bought a rainbow bow headband). She also brought her 8-bit paintings which are equally as popular. My merchandise is intriguing people but I haven't had a lot of takers. Unlike MAGFest the hats aren't as popular, they're still selling better than everything else though. When I look at what I've sold so far its kind of across the board, at least one of everything I brought has been sold. I'm hoping I'll break even but if I don't that's okay because I can just take the remaining stuff to MAGFest and post it on Etsy.
I'm looking forward to making more rupee pillows because they are super fun to make and extra cuddly. For MAGFest I'll be making smaller versions of them in all the rupee colors I can think of. The larger rupees will be the main rupee colors of red, blue and green; with the option to have custom colors done as a commission. Also new for MAGFest next year will be some specialty items, a Journey capelet and a female steampunk version of David Tennant's brown pinstripe Dr. Who costume. There's also a high chance of me making wristlets and wallets decorated with embroidered outlines of cutie marks, the Tardis and whatever else I might think of.
Oh I just wanted to include some exciting news, my boyfriend and I got engaged last week!! Also by the time MAGFest rolls around next year I'll have finally finished college!!
