2013 is coming to a chaotic close...
Hey all, sorry its been so terribly long since I've attempted a blog post. At the start of this semester I had no idea how crazy my life would get. There was Senior Art Project, where I had to come up with an exhibit for the Senior Show at GMU. Then I also had two business classes as well as pilates classes (tying to maintain some sense of a workout routine). So this resulted in my time being occupied by lots of homework as well as my job and one day a week babysitting for a lovely family. Very little crafting went on this semester, there was mostly photography happening for my senior project. The schedule this semester hasn't lent itself to too much free time so it felt very chaotic and stressful. Luckily it has finally all wound down and I graduated from GMU on Dec 19th 2013.
Once graduation was done and over with I had little time to work on MAGFest product. Luckily I've been able to make six rupee pillows and now I have 32 hats ready to be completely finished. My hands are sore from grommeting all of those hats today, but now the hardest and most painful part is over. All that needs to be done is lacing the grommets and sewing on the hat bands. It was my hope to have something new, like a mini cloak, to sell at MAGFest but time was not on my side for that one. Here's hoping I'll be able to do one of those for Awesome Con in DC in April. I have quite a lot of fun geeky themed clothing ideas for product that I'm very much looking forward to making. I'm also still planning on trying to make some fun, geeky wallets and I've acquired a beading loom to make some geeky fun bracelets. Its my hope that I can potentially make some fancy beaded wristlets with a beading loom in the future.
I'm looking forward to 2014, Donna and I will be vendors at MAGFest for the second time and we'll be vendors at Awesome Con in April. Then a month after Awesome Con, I'm getting MARRIED!! Somewhere amongst all that I'll hopefully find myself a full time job.
