MAGFest 2014 was a SUCCESS!!!
Third time is the charm! I finally broke even at a convention, not only did I break even but I also made a bit of a profit. Of course that extra money will go toward buying more supplies for the next convention, which is AwesomeCon in April. Can I just say it feels amazing to finally hit the break even point. I was starting to get worried that it wouldn't happen and I'd have to give up on this dream of selling the things I make. Now that I have seen I can be successful I'm looking forward to expanding my products to get more attention. Here's hoping some commissions will come my way. I've decided to post a wish list for the next con in order to keep track of what I'd like to have for it.
Wishlist for AwesomeCon:
- Geeky/nerdy lanyards
- Embroidered wristlets
- At least two mini cloaks
- 10th Dr. steampunk costume
- Superhero pillows
- Fun hats (with cat ears, bunny ears, bat wings)
Now that school is officially over I'll have the time for all these fun ideas. Granted I still also have planning my wedding and finding a salaried job on my list. I can't wait to get crafting and sewing, i'm very much looking forward to dedicating more time to my etsy and convention adventures. So far 2014 is starting out very well :-)
P.s. check out the picture of our MAGFest table. Donna and I have so much stuff that next year at MAGFest we'll need two tables. Also our friend Becky plans on joining us with her beautifully knitted scarves, check her out at https://www.etsy.com/shop/PixelKnitDesigns!
