Adulting always gets in the way . . .

Well its been almost two months since last I posted. Yeah, so much for that trickle of blog posts, it turned into more of a dead stop. That has a great deal with the fact that being an adult is wickedly time consuming, especially if you're an adult with a 40 hour work week. Add to that the incessant and nagging voice of my inner adult telling me to do my household chores before I do fun things and the fact that my job sucks out what little motivation I may have had to even perform my adulting duties when I get home.
Its been a bit rough for me the past two months if you can't tell. Been having lots of trouble working out time management. There is just sooo much I want to do, and what feels like so little time to do it. Its a struggle to work on making time for everything, but at least its a work in progress. It is starting to get a bit better though. A lot of my issue stems from needing to make myself a schedule to do all the things I want to do. Granted this kind of works against my love of spontaneity, but when you work 40 hours a week and only have two full days dedicated to break time, spontaneity kind of goes out the window.
As of now there has been very little creative happenings going on as I try to balance work and life. Since cleaning and organizing my sewing room I have figured out that I have enough fabric (from my stash) to make myself three skirts, two dresses, and a crop top. About a week after organizing my sewing room I bought a bunch of patterns for making said skirts, dresses and crop top, which I have been itching to make. About a week ago I managed to squeeze in some time to at least cut out one of the skirts, now its sitting on my sewing table waiting to be sewn together.
Oh and about three weeks ago I managed to find enough time to sit down and paint my nails, gosh that was very therapeutic. It was a simple design, but it was fun. During that same week I managed to also try out a Pinterest recipe for muffin pan peach cobbler. I took pictures of both of these creative and domestic bursts, perhaps I can dig them up and do some blog posts on them.
While things are very slowly getting better with my time management, I still have a long way to go. It is still very much my desire to start churning out projects and posting blogs about said projects. Right now though I'm more focused on getting a schedule together that balances my health and wellness (a.k.a. exercise), my crafting projects, household chores and spending time with my hubby. Once that all falls into place then it will get easier to keep my etsy shop, conventions and blog going.
