Happy New Year!!

 Hey all!! Its the beginning of a new year (granted we're two weeks into the new year), time for new adventures and crafty projects. This month I might just stick to crocheting as my Crochet pinterest board is collecting lots of fun things to make. Back in December, I made two infinity scarves and a slouchy hat out of pretty yarn I acquired at yarn stores. So far this month I've started an earwarmer headband for my husband, made a scarf and another hat. But I'd like to try and make something maybe a bit more challenging, such as a sweater.

 Now since attempting to make 6 different sweater/poncho patterns seems a bit too much to accomplish in a month. Ok its waaay to much, I have to have a life in there somewhere :-p I think for now I'm going to attempt the Katniss inspired half sweater/wrap pattern and the Yarnspirations poncho. They seem like good jump starts to bigger projects, compared to the scarves, boot cuffs and hats I've made in the past. Now just because this might be a crochet focused month does not mean I won't do any sewing, I've got some cozy plaid fabric just screaming to become a long winter skirt. So perhaps I'll get into my sewing room at some point and do that.

In any case, I hope everyone has a wonderful 2016. I'm quite positive mine is going to be filled with fun adventures and crafty times.
