Day 8... More feathers
Hey again, so today was a rough day for me. I didn't wake up in the best of moods, spent most of the day feeling really bummy. So that made it hard to feel motivated but I managed to get myself out to the store to get those last things that I needed. When I got home it took me a bit to work up the gusto to tackle dying the rest of the feathers. Everything was set up in the bathroom but the thought of having to go up and down all the stairs in this townhouse was daunting and tiring to think about. Luckily I buckled down and got it done so now all the feather boas for the tails are dyed and drying in the basement. They'll just need to be braided and have ribbons and pin backs attached to them. Major plus of today, five of the mushroom bags are done, and I must say they look quite wonderful. Here's some pics:
If you've seen the original picture posted in an earlier blog post and in my etsy shop, you'll notice that I fancied up the bag a bit. Added a flower embroidery stitch to give the bag a little more oompf :-p The stitching looks quite nice and resembles the fireflower that one might find in a Mario game. All the mushrooms were hand painted on to the bags. I must say they turned out pretty well, what do you think?
Tomorrow will consist of more painting and cutting out the ears I didn't get to today. I've still got a lot less to do and the days are dwindling down to MAGFest. In fact I finally received the load in info today. I'm so excited but getting a bit stressed, I want so much to have everything done in time.
